Quick Start Guide - Admin Login

After your BIG4books.com account is created, you will receive a confirmation email. The email contains login information for both your first 'user' account and the 'admin' account. Use the admin account for administrative functions such as adding new users, performing a backup, or other similar functions.

NOTE - You do not need to use your admin account to begin using the system; you may login to the first user account and skip to the 'Setup Chart of Accounts' section, below.

To login as admin, click on login at the top of the BIG4books.com home page.

A screen similar to the following will appear:



Enter your 'Admin' username and password from the confirmation email.

Please note that the password is case sensitive and contains both letters and numbers. We advise you to highlight the password in the email with your mouse, then use CTRL-C and CTRL-V to 'Cut' and 'Paste' the password into the login screen.

On successful login, a screen similar to the following will appear. Note that the 'You are logged in as' area indicates the 'Role:' is 'admin'



We recommend you change your password at this time to something more memorable. Enter the new password in the Change Admin Password form. Your new password must contain both letters and numbers, be between 7 and 20 characters long, and entered identically in the 'new' and 'retype' text boxes. Click 'Go' and a success message should appear. Use your new password when logging in to your admin account. A failure message will appear if there is a problem and you can try again.
