Work Flows - General Ledger

Transactions that do not fall into the normal Sales/Receivables or Purchases/Payables flows are usually entered directly as General Ledger transactions, using menu selection General Ledger -- Add Transaction. An example entry is shown here:



The above example is for a shareholder deposit of funds into the business as a loan. The reference of 'GL0301' is a typical naming scheme using 'GL' for General Ledger, followed by the month '03' and an incrementing entry index '01' for the first entry of the month, '02' for the second, etc.

Below are some additional examples of typical General Ledger entries. While it is beyond the scope of this documentation to detail general accounting principles and methods, these examples are intended to show how the system is used to make these entries
