Quick Start Guide - User Login

After creating your BIG4books.com account, you will receive a confirmation email. The email
contains login information for your first 'user' account at the top. To login to your first user account,
click on login in the Main Menu bar

| Enter your 'User' username and password from the email. On successful login,
a screen similar to the following will appear. Note that the 'Role:' indicates 'user' |

Currently there are four options once you login as a user.
If you are a 'BRONZE' user, a form will display allowing you to learn about upgrading your account to SILVER or GOLD.
To proceed directly to the accounting software, Click on the 'Login' button in the 'Go to Accounting Software' form.
Next is a form to change your password. We recommend you change
your password to something you can remember. To change your password enter the new password in the 'new password' and
'retype new password fields', then click the Go button. A success or failure message will be displayed.
Finally, the 'Help us Improve' form brings you to a short survey to fill out.

The Top Left contains a BIG4books.com navigation menu, which provides access to some of the BIG4books.com pages that are also
accessible via the Main Menu Bar on some of the other pages. The faq, resources, help, and contact
screens will come up in a popup window so you can refer to them while doing your accounting work.
Below the BIG4books.com navigation menu will appear some advertising from our sponsors. Note that you may disable this
advertising with a SILVER or GOLD account level membership.
On the Lower left of the screen is the Accounting Menu. These selections allow you to access the accounting software functions.
This is where you will spend the bulk of your time working with BIG4books.com
The main part of the screen will contain the accounting function screens as you work with the accounting software. When you
login, the 'You are logged in as' block indicates your login information so you can verify you are logged in correctly. |
